IDAN organises essay and competitions at Bloom Bazaar

Kohima, November 13 (MExN): The Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN) organised a two-day event that showcased the extraordinary talents of the youth in Nagaland. The event took place at Bloom Bazaar on November 10 and 11, and was sponsored by Department of Under Development Areas (DUDA), Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA), Nagaland coffee, and the Department of Health & Family Welfare (DHF).

Thirteen schools participated in the essay competition, where students explored the theme ‘Landscape of Floriculture Industry in Nagaland.’ The judging panels were Veralu Vero from Sazolie College, Kohima, and Tsutipang Jamir from Don Bosco College (DBC), stated a press release from IDAN. 

The essay competition was hosted by Namang T Chang, Consultant at IDAN, and the award ceremony was presided over by Reny Wilfred (IAS), Joint Secretary Finance Department & IDAN, Government of Nagaland.

Result of the essay competition: Winner-Keletsole Mekro from Dainty Buds Hr Sec School, Kohima, received Rs 10,000 cash award; 1st Runner Up: Limvishi S from Mount Carmel Hr Sec School, Kohima, secured a Rs 5,000 cash award; Consolation Winners: Tangsoi from Animation & Graphic Academy, Henminthang Haulai from Unnati Skill Center, and Kevinuo from Fernwood School, each received a Rs 1,000 cash award. The winners received gift hampers from Bloom Bazaar Merch and Nagaland Coffee.

On November 11, 31 participants engaged in the art competition with the theme ‘Flora of Nagaland.’ The art competition was hosted by Imtisenla Jamir, Executive Assistant & Admin at Modern Myriad Branding Pvt Ltd. The judging panels included Among Venuh, a full-time artist with 8 years of experience in fine arts, and Vivo Mor, a self-taught artist inspired by the old masters of Classical realism. 

Result of Art Competition: Winner -Ditube Iheilung received Rs 10,000 cash; 1st Runner Up: Methshing H Phom received Rs 5,000 cash award; Consolation Winners: Pallavi, Sharva, and Nounegutuo Khezhie, each received Rs 1,000 cash award each. The winners also received gift hamper from Bloom Bazaar Merch and Nagaland Coffee.

The winning art pieces will be on permanent display at the Art Gallery at Bloom Bazaar, accessible to the public every weekend.
