Kohima, September 29 (MExN): In collaboration with Kekhro Smile Foundation, Kohima, Indian Dental Association Nagaland State Branch (IDANSB) on ‘Continuing Dental Health Program’ (CDH) conducted a free and voluntary Oral & Dental Health treatment Camp at Kikruma village on September 28.


A press release from CDH Convenor stated the camp was organized under the theme, ‘Oral Smart, Health Fit’ with the objective of spreading awareness and for reaching out to people who are in need of dental treatment.


Dr Imyangluba Convenor, CDH talked about the essence of oral health on the overall health and wellbeing, adding that it was a window into the health of one’s body.


The programme was graced by Pastor KBC. Dr Nungotso Vero (President IDANSB) gave an introduction about the camp and on theme exposure.


Dr Vizoleno gave a short talk on Oral & Dental Health and the risk factors on consumption of Tobacco. A total of 167 patients were treated for various dental problems.


Extractions, restorations & scaling were performed and medicines were distributed. Eight dental surgeons Dr Nungotso Vero, Dr Imyangluba, Dr Vizoleno, Dr Ketouvizo, Dr Lanumeren, Dr Bella, Dr Dzutholuo, Dr Noyingbeni assisted by staff Krovieo, Ali, Zareni and Venyulu gave their voluntary service for the camp. Dr Kulo Kapfo, MO PHC Kikruma attented the general patients.
