Dimapur, October 22 (MExN): The 48th National Convention of Indian Evangelical Mission hosted by DABA concluded on Sunday Evening. All together 708 delegates from different parts of India and counties like Australia, Singapore, USA and UK attended the convention.
The delegates comprised of mission workers – field and church, IEM supporters and mission minded professionals.
A press note informed that during the convention different speakers delivered the message and Bible studies based on the theme, “Fullness in Christ” (Col 1:19).
One of the highlights of the convention was the release of the Gospel of Mark & Grammar in Poraik language (Arunachal Pradesh) and 1 Corinthians and Titus in Assamese Musalmani, it said.
“An MoU was signed between OMF International and Evangelical Churches Association Manipur, IEM for mission partnership,” it added.
The concluding Sunday Evening worship was led by Rev. Dr. Shiwoto Assumi while the Invocation was pronounced by Alino Punyu. Special numbers were presented by Dimapur Lotha Baptist Church, Making Music Sing (MMS), and delegates from Madhya Pradesh; Maharashtra and Chattishgarh. Lumdemo Kikon, the Convention Coordinator offered the Vote of Thanks and the message was brought by Bro. Jenny Christopher, HoD, Church Ministries IEM.
Meanwhile, for those interested in going for higher studies, it was informed that the Dallas Baptist University, USA will be conducting a Seminar on October 23 at Elim Hall, DABA from 10 AM.
Started in 1965, IEM is involved in church planting, evangelism, Bible translation, literacy work, establishing tribal hostels, medical ministry, socio-economic community development work, leadership development and Bible schools, conducting workshops for families, church leaders and the Christian workers in different churches and literature ministry.
