Dimapur, June 11 (MExN): The International Mind Education Institute (IMEI), in collaboration with Mt Mary College, Chümoukedima, concluded its one-year Mind Education Course with a certificate-cum-workshop held at Grand Vista Hotel, Dimapur.
The programme began with a prayer offered by Pastor Sona Abraham of Grace Gospel Mission, Hindi Nagamese Church, Dimapur. IMEI Course Director Dr Ansai B Basumatary welcomed the gathering and acknowledged the dedication of the graduates as well as the support extended by the collaborating institutions.
The first technical session was delivered by IMEI Meghalaya State In-Charge Daiante Ch. Marak on the theme, “Self-Control: The Key to a Fulfilled Life.” He emphasised that while desire drives human actions, the ability to exercise self-control is essential, adding that unchecked or misunderstood desires often lead to dissatisfaction and highlighting the importance of cultivating inner discipline.
The second session was led by IMEI North East Director Udayaraj Paundel, who spoke on “Applying Mind Education in Daily Life.” He encouraged participants to move beyond blindly trusting their thoughts and instead develop deeper thinking and heartfelt communication.
Drawing from his personal experiences, Paundel shared how misunderstandings in relationships, particularly during youth, can be resolved through the principles of Mind Education, leading to transformation and greater clarity.
A highlight of the programme was the testimony session, during which two students shared their personal transformation journeys throughout the course. They spoke about how Mind Education had positively influenced their thinking, relationships and overall outlook on life.
The event also featured dance performances by the group “The Righteous Stars,” adding colour and vibrancy to the programme.
Addressing the graduates, Managing Director of Mt. Mary College Dr Teeya Imsong encouraged them to actively apply the principles of Mind Education in their everyday lives. He also expressed gratitude to Almighty God for guiding him through life’s challenges and inspiring him to support such initiatives.
The programme concluded on a reflective note, marking not only the successful completion of the one-year course but also the beginning of a continued journey of applying Mind Education principles in personal and social life.
