DIMAPUR, MARCH 15 (MExN): The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has written to the Secretary, Higher and Technical Education for implementation of the nodal cell for all scholarship schemes and requisitioning of 5 Assistant Professor posts to the NPSC.
In its letter, the ANCSU said that it is dismayed by the department’s inaction towards the Nodal Cell which was notified for establishment on the October 25.
“While the students await to see the functioning of the nodal cell, the department has not implemented the nodal cell till date although a common scholarship portal was introduced,” it stated. The union demanded that the nodal cell be made functional within a period of one-month with effect from March 15.
Meanwhile, it appreciated the Department of Higher Education for requisition of 105 Assistant Professor and Librarian posts to the NPSC which were subsequently advertised.
It however expressed concern at the “lackadaisical approach on the remaining five Assistant Professor posts for College of Teachers Education which was withheld for conversion/review/exchange.” The union demanded that the department requisition the remaining five posts to the NPSC within a period of one-month with effect from March 15.
