DIMAPUR, AUGUST 10 (MExN): The Eastern Nagaland Students Federation (ENSF) has appealed to the telecom department for immediate installation and connectivity of cellular communication in Kiphire, Longleng, Shamator and Noklak. Stating this, T. Likhumse Sangtam, Joint Secretary, ENSF in a press communiqué pointed out that as far as CellOne connectivity is concerned, it has covered the length and breadth of the State, where Kiphire and Longleng had seen under-coverage.
In this regard, the general public had approached and urged the concern department for immediate installation and up-gradation of infrastructure in these areas for better communication. However this has not been fulfilled as per the desire of the public, the ENSF lamented
As such, the ENSF has expressed resentment to the department and appealed for taking quick action for redressal of the poor telecom connectivity in the region.
The ENSF also told the telecom department to give more importance in remote areas where transportation and communication are in ‘despicable’ condition particularly in its region where no facilities are available to pave way for development activities. “Therefore, the federation insists to the telecom department to include Shamator and Noklak under their coverage in a stipulated time for better communication”, the ENSF stated.
