•-From what I hear in my blog and other sources, rescheduling has become a regular news item in our local newspapers. It is ironical how passengers naturally anticipate the flight timings to be rescheduled while booking their tickets. In addition to our senior congress member who rightly voiced the inconveniences caused especially to passengers stranded in transit. I just thought of sharing these three suggestions:
1. Why don’t the Airline change the timing permanently rather than announcing the rescheduling of their only flight almost daily?
2. All local papers seem to be reserving a space on their front page for the Airline to announce their daily shortcomings. Don’t you think it is high time we stop considering this as a daily front page news and spare an advertisement slot for the multi-crore airline? Result – Front page space saved, revenue earned & both parties happy.
3. Why do you think every 3rd person you know flies from Jorhat or Gauhati? Because regular fliers are fed up with the hassles they need to face. Forecasting the feasibility of introducing more airlines should not be a challenge while an insight will prove that the Air India is losing out more passengers to nearby airports with abundant choice of private airlines.
