DIMAPUR, JUNE 8: Sky Entertainment in Association with Vh1 has informed of the launch one of India’s biggest guitar events called “Axe’s power” under the theme “Choose Music over Violence.” The main concept of the event is to encourage musicians to compete with the best while getting exposure to new audiences. It also encourages musicians to pick up a guitar instead of resorting to violence.
The award will be the final result of a detailed process involving audition, a triage of professional critique, and final selection. The award will be based on four different categories: Rock, Blues, Jazz and Western Classical. A press note informed that participants would have to send two demo tracks. One track will be provided by the management and the other track has to be their original composition. There will be three rounds; the first round will be scrutinized by Sky Entertainment management. The second round will be done by the official Judges alongside National SMS voting. At the third Round, three finalists will be selected from each category and they will perform live in front of the judges on November 9 at Dimapur.
The grand finale will be covered by Vh1 and the winners will get a chance to air their works on the leading English music channel. Besides, the winners will also get an opportunity to walk away with Rupees one lakh each, a trophy and a certificate.
