As part of the Hornbill Festival 2023, the Tribal Research Institute (TRI), Tribal Affairs department Nagaland today conducted various indigenous games competition at Naga Solidarity Park, Kohima in celebration of ‘Festival of Festivals.’ All the winners including participants were presented with certificates and cash.
Spear throw target: Altogether 17 tribes participated in the Spear throw target competition. Peuhaulungsing (Zeliang) stood first position while Wuojisie Nyusou (Pochury) and Yemlongchaba (Chang) bagged 2nd and 3rd position receptively.

Go-Karting: The tribal Go-Karting Competition started from Nagaland Civil Secretariat and culminated at Naga Solidarity Park. The competition witnessed the participation of 13 tribes. Jeilei Wangsha and Mangngo (Konyak) bagged the first position. Imsushilu Ao and Zulutoshi (Ao) and Maheusapoing and Irutngwangba Poireng (Zeliang) stood 2nd and 3rd position respectively.

Log cutting competition: Rukoheituo (Angami), Hukuto A Chophy (Sumi) and Namyiteulung (Zeliang) bagged the first, second and third position respectively. 17 tribes joined this event.
Meanwhile, the Tribal Cultural Mosaic will take place on December 6 at 3:00 pm at Naga Solidarity Park, Kohima.
