Indrani Club Chandmari visits children home

KOHIMA, MAY 16 (MExN): On the occasion of Mothers’ day, members of the Indrani Club Chandmari visited Bright Morning Star Children Home located at Para Medical Colony, Kohima. The members contributed a small amount of essential items to the children home to observe mothers’ day and also to mark the completion of one year of the club, which was founded on mothers’ day of last year (May 12).

A press release from the club’s secretary Samir Thapa informed that there were seventeen children in the age group of 4 to 14 years in the children home which is run and managed by Abi K. Thapa stated that the members of the club were deeply touched by the testimony of the children there. Informing that the children were talented in crafts, Thapa added that the crafts made by the children are sold to nearby shops and the amount collected is utilized to manage the children home. Thapa stated that Abi shared the hardships but was cheerful that with God’s blessing she has always overcome the hardships.

Thapa stated that some of the children read them bible verses and shared their dreams and aims in life. The members left the children home after praying together with the children and with a hope that God will always answer the children’s prayer and listen to their call, Thapa stated.
