Kohima, August 10 (MExN): The Directorate of Industries & Commerce, Government of Nagaland conducted a workshop titled ‘Study on Re-Engineering and Restructuring of DI & DICs in Kohima, Nagaland’ on August 10. 

The event was organised in collaboration with the National Institute of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (ni-msme) Hyderabad, as part of the North Eastern Council (NEC) project. The workshop took place at the Conference Hall of the District Industries Centre, Kohima, stated a DIPR report.

Sanjiv Dey delivered a comprehensive presentation detailing the objectives of the study. The study aims to rejuvenate DI & DICs by aligning them with the industrial policies of the 8 North Eastern Region (NER) states. 

The key objectives include promoting enterprises, generating employment, bolstering economic sectors, and addressing unemployment. The presentation encouraged participants to identify potential schemes for future entrepreneurship.

The workshop drew participation from DI & DIC officials, stakeholders, existing and potential entrepreneurs, industry associations, representatives from Youth Net, and students from Kohima College.
