Mokokchung, October 30 (MExN): Ineffable Muse – A poetry collection authored by Oshyajem Longkumer and published by Blue Hill publications was launched at Urban Hub Café Mokokchung on October 30. The book was launched by Bendangsenla, Associate Professor, Department of English, Fazl Ali College Mokokchung.
The author, Oshyajem is a research scholar at Assam Don Bosco University and a teacher by profession. She draws inspiration for writing poetry from as simple as a life’s encounter or when in the heart of nature. At the launching programme of the book, the author said that her book it is all about stories and experiences transformed into poems.
She added that the book contains 85 poems and divided into four sections. According to the author, in the first section, titled ‘Lockdown Love Series’ (31 poems) is about how love has been expressed by different people at different scenes and situations of lives particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. The second section of the book, ‘Lockdown Phase 1, 2020 (21 days)’ comprising 21 poems is the result of a challenge she undertook to write one poem a day during the first phase of lockdown. The third section of the book ‘Life’s encounter’ containing 23 poems talks about her life’s journey and experiences. In the fourth section ‘Nature Inspiration’, she deals about tuning in with nature just as it speaks to her heart.
Speaking on behalf of the family at the event, Minister Tongpang Ozukum said that her achievement today was brought through her sincerity, determination and patience. He further encouraged the author to keep on writing and inspiring people through her works.
The book will retail at Rs 299 at leading book stores and also available online in various platforms.
