KOHIMA, MAY 27 (MExN): At the initiative of the Governor of Nagaland, PB Acharya and the Indian National Fellowship Centre (INFC), an NGO from Mumbai, Nitte Medical University, Mangalore and Moodlakatte Institute of Technology, Kundapura Taluk, has announced seats each in various courses for the academic year 2019-20.
Nitte Medical University has offered 24 courses, where the University will exempt college fees in full for the courses. Students will have to bear the hostel and mess fees, informed a press release from the Raj Bhavan Kohima.
The university will be offering three M Sc Nursing, three GNM, two Master of Public health (MPH), two B. Sc Nursing, two M Pharm, two B. Sc (Bio Medical Science), two MA (Mass Communication & Journalism), two BA (Mass Communication & Journalism), two M Sc (Anaesthesia & Operation Theatre Technology) and two M Sc (MLT – Hematology & Blood Transfusion), one M Sc (Bio Medical Science) and one M Sc (Food Safety & Biotechnology) seats each.
Moodlakatte Institute of Technology (MIT) is also offering free education for seven students from Nagaland in Mechanical Engineering (one seat), Computer Science & Engineering (one seat), Civil Engineering (one seat), Electrical & Electronic Engineering (one seat), Electronics & Communication Engineering (one seat) and Master of Business Administration (two seats). Students will have to pay for their exam fee and cost of food.
Governor Acharya has constituted a committee to select the students based on merit. Interested students may submit their application stating the seat he/she wants to apply for along with a copy of their mark sheets, Indigenous Inhabitant of Nagaland Certificate and their contact number addressed to OSD to Governor, Raj Bhavan Kohima by June 10.
