DIMAPUR, AUG 23 (MExN): The Naga Hoho has made it clear that integration of the Naga homeland into a single political unit is an inalienable right of the Nagas. “Integration is at the heart of the Naga freedom struggle and we are asking for what is ours by birth”, the Naga Hoho Publicity Secretary stated in a press communiqué.
The communiqué informed that the Naga Integration Rally will be held at Kohima local ground on 31st August. It said that the rally “is in affirmation of our inalienable right to live as one people under one political unit and to demonstrate that we are determined to undo the injustice committed upon us.
The reunification of the contiguous Naga homeland is non-negotiable.” It affirmed that “our children deserve to live as other dignified human beings on earth. We are duty bound to usher in the right future for them. We must reclaim and restore our honor and dignity.”
The Naga Hoho has called upon all sections of the Naga people particularly the various Naga national workers to extend their cooperation. “Let’s demonstrate together that we (the) Nagas can create history together” it appealed. The Naga Hoho in association with other mass-based social organizations is organizing the ‘Naga Integration Rally’.
