Dimapur, June 7 (MExN): Starting from June 8, an 11-day intensified COVID-19 vaccination drive would be set in motion across health facilities and outreach session sites across Nagaland.

Informing this in a press release on Monday, Principal Director for Health and Family Welfare Dr Neikhrielie Khimiao stated that during this period (June 8-18), all health facilities and outreach session sites in urban colonies and villages would be covered from Mondays to Fridays. He requested all eligible beneficiaries from the 18-44 years and 45+ age groups to avail the opportunity and get the Covishield vaccine.

Beneficiaries have been informed to contact their respective village/ Panchayat chairpersons; medical officer in-charge, ANMs, ASHA or Anganwadi workers to find out when the sessions would be conducted in their villages/colonies. “Other than those CVCs shared by district officials for online registration and booking, all other sessions will be on-site registration and vaccination,” the release stated.

It also requested people with disabilities to contact health workers in their respective areas who will give special priority to get them vaccinated. All beneficiaries are advised to maintain COVID appropriate behaviour, it added.
