
Peren, May 7 (MExN): Sainik School Punglwa conducted an inter house cultural competition recently.
Cadets from six different houses competed with each other for the coveted trophy. They staged a remarkable display of skit, mime, group dance, group song, master of ceremony, and a rich cultural dance of Madhya Pradesh and Nagaland under the vision of Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat, according to a press release from the school.
Melak House edged Saramati House with just a point and was declared the winner of the inter house cultural competition 2018. Saramati House and Japfu House came second and third respectively.
Principal, Gp Capt Sharad R Keskar, who was the chief guest, presented the trophy to the winning house. He congratulated all the participants and complimented the teachers for their effort and guidance.
He told the cadets that the cultural dance and folk song of Nagaland and cultural dance of Madhya Pradesh which were performed by them talked about brotherhood, sharing, caring and having knowledge by one for other state as well, the release said. He expressed hope that the participants will perform the best in the forthcoming 11th Founders Day on May 12.
