Interfaith Meet 2018 concludes

Dimapur, January 14 (MExN): Continuing with last Sunday's visit to worship places of all the religions in Dimapur, the Intefaith Meet concluded today on Sunday at the Town Baptist Church, Dimapur.   It may be noted that People's Forum for Peace organised these visits of the leaders of all faiths to pray for world peace at the Mosque, Durga Mandir, Jain Temple, Holy Cross Church last Sunday.   Continuing from last week's visits, Pastor John Roughton, Lama Pasang Dorjee and Rev. Vilodi led the prayers at the Spirit of Faith Church, Buddhist Temple and Angami Baptist Church, Dimapur respectively while sharing about the oneness of all the faiths.   Convener of the Interfaith Meet, Ajay Sethi offered the vote of thanks expressing his gratitude to all the leaders of the various faiths for their whole-hearted participation and sharing the commonalities of the various faiths.   Hoping for such interactions to continue in near future, Taku Longkumer, President, People's Forum for Peace, prayed that Dimapur would continue to grow as a cosmopolitan town accommodating all the communities in its bosom.  

Interfaith organization leaders sensitized on HIV & AIDS

Dimapur, January 14 (MExN): Kripa Foundation’s Project Sunrise conducted a sensitization workshop on HIV & AIDS with interfaith organizations of Dimapur, which included the Buddhist, Sikh, Muslim, Hindu, and Jain communities, at the conference hall of Bethesda Center here on January 13, 2018. A press release from the Foundation informed that various topics like the HIV & AIDS scenario in Nagaland and Dimapur, overcoming stigma and discrimination, leveraging the existing HIV services, sharing from a PLHIV community and some community leaders were the highlights of the workshop.
