Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) - Global Initiative of Academic Networks (GIAN) organized a 5 day international course on Anti inflammatory lifestyle for prevention of Cancer and Neurodegeneration: Facts and Fiction at the Department of Zoology, Nagaland University, Lumami.
The inaugural programme of the international course took place on October 1 with Prof. Pardeshi Lal, Vice-Chancellor, as the Chief Guest and Prof. Bharat. B. Aggarwal, Director, inflammation Research Center, San Diego, California, USA, as the guest of honour.
Altogether, 33 participants from different parts of India are attending the course. A cultural programme was also held on October 1.
The five day International course will conclude on October 5. Indian faculty, Course co-coordinator and NU-GIAN coordinator, Prof Sarat C Yenisetti, Department of Zoology, NU said that this was the first time the Department of Zoology, NU under MHRD-GIAN is organizing an international course.
The highlight of the international course includes lectures on various sub-topics of the main theme and tutorial, practical demonstration and presentation from the participants.
