Showcasing ideas and experiences through art and text is Graphic Designing. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that designing has taken over the world. From the quirky websites, to phone covers, Facebook ads, and mobile applications - design is everywhere. To encourage students who want to make a career in designing, Internshala and PUMA have launched a graphic design contest through which students will get a chance to intern with PUMA India in Bangalore for 2 months in summer 2017. Design was an important aspect even in the days when companies relied solely on offline marketing. It showed its presence in banners, posters, business cards and newspaper ads. As digital marketing evolved, graphic designing gained a wider platform through social media. Organisations are vying to hire the best designers with a knack to create something minimalist and innovative. Graphic Designers help companies to build a better brand presence and improve the product experience for the consumers. PUMA, the world’s leading sports and lifestyle brand is famous for its wide range of merchandise, both in the realm of fitness and athleisure. It has also gained attention for the way it has experimented and infused a strong sense of design in its products. On the launch of this contest, Sarvesh Agrawal, the founder & CEO of Internshala said, "Graphic Design is one of the most in-demand skills which employers look for in students. Both startups and leading brands focus on the design aspect as it is present at every stage – from logo design to website interface and product experience. This contest will help students get a hands-on experience of graphic designing. Moreover, PUMA India will be a global platform for the student to launch their career." The contest is open to all students currently enrolled in a recognized Indian college or university and registration will start from 4th February 2017. PUMA India will interview the top 10 performers of the contest for the internship. The winner declared after 3 rounds of the interview process will land an internship with PUMA with a monthly stipend of INR 20,000 and will also get PUMA merchandise worth INR 5,000.
