The Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) and Nagaland State Co-operative Marketing & Consumers Federation Ltd. (MARCOFED) have jointly provided ten computer sets to Nagaland Police under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
These computer sets, meant for strengthening policing with digital support, was handed over to the Intelligence (INT) unit of Nagaland Police on July 18 in the presence of Nagaland’s Director General of Police (DGP) Rupin Sharma.
The intelligence unit under the Inspector General of Police (INT) contributes towards many facets in the overall output of the Nagaland Police.
Addressing the handing over programme at IGP (INT) Conference Hall Kohima, DGP thanked the IOC and MARCOFED Ltd for extending such digital infrastructure support to Nagaland Police.

He was optimistic that such facility will improve the quality of intelligence network. Meanwhile, Sharma requested IOC to consider additional petrol outlet for Nagaland Police.
He was hopeful that the partnership between Nagaland Police and IOC will become stronger. Rothihu Tetseo, IGP (INT) Nagaland said that Intelligence wing of Nagaland Police is one of the main backbones for government agencies. However, he said, the INT branch is lacking basic facilities to function due to budget constraints.
Tetseo thanked the IOC and MARCOFED for acceding to Nagaland Police’s request by providing the required computer sets.
Stating that the provided computers will now be utilized in the district offices, Kevizasinuo Lucy Yhome, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Hqr) said “Your contribution has significantly strengthen our operational capability by addressing crucial resource gap.”
Acknowledging IOC and MARCOFED, she said “Your act of generosity has reflected your deep commitment for public service and national security.”
Anshu Moudgil, General Manager (RS) IOAOD highlighted the status of IOC in the country.
On CSR initiative, he said “This is just a beginning. In the coming days, we are going to have many more collaborations and CSR activities.”
Dr. M. Chuba Ao, Chairman, MARCOFED also spoke at the programme.
Niholu Ayemi, OSD, Transport, Forest & Environment including other officials from IOC and MARCOFED also present at the programme.
