Dimapur, June 10 (MExN): The Inter-School Chess Association–Ngwalwa Circle (ISCA-NC) will organise the 2nd Inter-School Chess Tournament 2026 on July 21 and 22 at Government High School, Heningkunglwa, in Peren district of Nagaland.
According to the organisers, the tournament will be conducted under the nine-round Swiss System in the Rapid format with a time control of 15 minutes plus a five-second increment per move.
All schools affiliated with the ISCA-NC have been requested to submit the names of 15 participants, including one team manager, on or before June 30.
The registration will be accompanied by an annual membership fee of Rs 1,000 per school and an entry fee of Rs 30 per player.
The champion team will receive the running trophy along with certificates.
In the Open category, players finishing from first to 10th position will be awarded trophies and certificates.
Category-wise prizes will also be awarded separately for boys and girls in Classes VIII-X, Classes V-VII and Classes I-V, with the top three finishers in each category receiving medals and certificates.
The organisers have urged all participating schools to complete their registration within the stipulated time and extend their support towards making the tournament a success.
