Churches colony residents compelled to repair by-pass lane themselves
DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 10 (MExN): Having lost all hope on the present leader (s) to come to their rescue, the residents of Churches Colony under 2-Dimapur II Constituency (ward 21) voluntarily carried out road repairing works at the by-pass lane connecting Khermahal and Ms Zinyu Gas Agency.
A press statement received from one Khekugha of the Churches Colony said the road repair was carried out under the initiative of the Churches Colony Welfare Board and the Youth Wing along with support from various individuals and well wishers as they were left with no alternative since the road had been kept ignored by the people’s representative since the last two decades.
With the situation itself being self explanatory, the press statement only had a quote to explain the predicament faced by the colony people, "When people lose hope, they lose their ability to dream for the future. Despair replaces joy. Fear replaces faith. Anxiety replaces prayer. Insecurity replaces confidence. Tomorrow’s dreams are replaced by nightmares. It’s a lousy way to live."
