MLA and DAN Chairman, Jacob Zhimomi addressing DAN officers and staff, Thursday.

Dimapur, May 3 (MExN): MLA and Chairman, Development Authority Nagaland (DAN), Jacob Zhimomi challenged the staff and officers to re-dedicate and re-commit to the post they are holding to boost the functioning system and performance of the department.

Addressing the officers and staff on his maiden departmental meeting at DAN office, Thursday, after officially assuming the charge of DAN Chairman, Jacob asserted that he definitely wanted to bring a change and called upon them to co-ordinate with him for the larger interest of the department.

Stating there is no room for laziness in this competitive world, Jacob said DAN is an equally important department that could play a responsible role in the development of the state. But, for such to happen he said, everybody’s participation is required and therefore urged the officers and staff to put their efforts together to do something visible and useful that would be an achievement for the department.

At the meeting Jacob Zhimomi further expressed heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and NPF President Dr. Shurhozelie for having special concern for the people of Ghaspani-I A/C and inducting him into the ministry and allotting DAN to him.  He assured that he would perform his duty given to him by the government to serve the people.

Felicitating the new chairman on the occasion, officers and staff expressed confidence on Jacob.
