Jawahar Bal Manch Nagaland holds state camp on constitution awareness

KOHIMA, April 27 (MExN): The Jawahar Bal Manch (JBM) Nagaland organized its State Camp on Saturday at the Hiekha Coaching Centre in Kohima under the theme "Know Your Constitution," drawing enthusiastic participation from young students across the state.

The camp, which began at 9 a.m., featured S Supongmeren Jamir, Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) and President of the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC), as the special guest. Addressing the gathering, Jamir encouraged students to learn about the Constitution and to embrace their responsibilities as citizens.

The event opened with a welcome address by Kaqheto Kughutu, State Chief Coordinator of JBM Nagaland. This was followed by an inaugural address from Manoj Dutta, National Coordinator and JBM In-charge for Nagaland, who underscored the importance of educating youth about their constitutional rights and duties.

The camp was also graced by Christopher Tilak, AICC Secretary In-charge of Nagaland, who motivated the participants with his remarks.

Advocate Yogesh Sharma, National Coordinator and In-charge of Training for JBM, served as the resource person for the camp. He conducted an interactive session explaining the key features and significance of the Constitution in a manner accessible to the students.

The program included a variety of competitions and activities such as a quiz competition, extempore speech, martial arts display, fun and obstacle games, group song competition, and drawing and painting competitions. Participants actively demonstrated their talents, knowledge, and team spirit throughout the day.

The camp also served as a selection ground for the upcoming National Camp scheduled to be held in Jaipur, Rajasthan, from May 11 to 14, 2025. Ten participants from the State Camp will be selected to represent Nagaland at the national event.
The camp was organized by the Communications Department of the NPCC.
