
DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 2 (MExN): The Joint Committee on Prevention of Illegal Immigrants (JCPI) in consultation with apex tribe hohos, mass based organizations and CSOs has tasked the State Committee on ILP to submit its recommendations to the state government which also include recommendation to include Dimapur district under ILP on or before February 6, 2019.
Failing to meet the current deadline, the JCPI in a press statement through its media cell said it was empowered to take any action deemed fit. Meanwhile, it was also decided that the JCPI along with apex tribe hohos, CSOs and mass-based organizations would submit a joint memorandum on Citizenship (Amendment) Bill 2016 to the President of India at the earliest.
