JD (U) MPs, Ministers from Bihar arrive in Nagaland 

Dimapur, October 8 (MExN): Six political leaders from Bihar have arrived in Nagaland to commemorate 120th birth anniversary of Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan and to attend the All Nagaland Bihari Conference which will be held on October 11.

The Janata Dal United (JDU) received the leaders which include Minister of Rural Development, Government of Bihar, Shravan Kumar; Member of Parliament Kaushlendra Kumar; MP and National General Secretary, JD (U) Ramprit Mandal; Ex MP and National General Secretary, JD (U) Dhananjay Singh; MP Sunil Kumar Pintu; and Minister of Minority Welfare, Government of Bihar Md Zama Khan, a press release informed on Saturday.

According to the JD (U), the six political leaders would join Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar who will address the public gathering at the All Nagaland Bihari Conference and birth anniversary celebration at the DDSC, Dimapur.

The Conference is sponsored by the JD (U) and organized by Matri Foundation, Bihari Samaj, and Kalyan Samaj.

Highlighting on the life and work of Jayaprakash Narayan, the JD (U) stated that the motive of the conference and birth anniversary celebration was to pass down the history of great contribution made by him in building peace in Nagaland from the year 1947 to 1963. “JD (U) hopes to spread about this respected personality among the Naga people and especially to the younger generations,” it said, while adding that the event would be an honourable tribute to JP Narayan.
