Jeüchüghu FC Phor lifts 9th edition of Pochury Black Day Memorial Cup

Meluri, October 14 (MExN): The 9th edition of Pochury Black Day Memorial Cup 2022 held from October 7 to 14 at Meluri Town concluded with Er Chirhotho Rasutho, Joint Director, Geology & Mining as the valedictory guest.

A press release received here stated that the final match was played between Jeüchüghu FC Phor and Khumiasü FC, where Jeüchüghu FC Phor champed the tourney with a score line 1-0 scored by Rachitu Jourü (Jersey 11).

The grand finale was chaired by Ayansü Thevüry. Invocation prayer was invoked by Fr Tomy Kallurumbel and introductory note was said by Thsütho Kajiri. Greeting was conveyed by Sürhothsü Phoji, President, Pochury Mothers’ Association, followed by special presentation by Sachurho Pojar. Solidarity note was conveyed by Atokiho Sumi, Vice President, Naga Students’ Federation.

Altogether, 11 teams participated in tournament. 

Individual prizes: 
•    Highest Scorer – Tarep (7 goals) (Shilloi Sporting Club)
•    Best Defender – Tüwusü (Khumiasü FC)
•    Most Promising Player – AvijisiePhoji (Khumiasü FC)
•    Best Goalkeeper – WietsüsiePhoji (Khumiasü FC)
•    Player of the tournament – YithachuThupitor (Jeüchüghu FC Phor)
