The Jemtimenba Mollier Foundation held the meritorious award giving ceremony for excellence in Ao literature on October 24. This award was presented to HSLC & HSSLC students and Arangtet students who secure first position in the Arangtet- examination of the Ao Literature. The Award ceremony was graced by Sentinenla, District Education Officer as the guest of honour.
The Jemtimenba Mollier Foundation (JMF) was founded in the year 2014. This Foundation was formed with the intent of promulgating Ao literature and to instill the importance and essence of the Ao literature. Since its inception, the JMF has been conducting different programmes like seminars, essays, quiz competitions, spell bee and felicitating meritorious students in the Ao Literature.
Guest of honour, Sentinenla, in her speech expressed her appreciation to the JMF for the initiative taken in promoting Ao literature, given the fact that language is the essence and one's identity. She also acknowledged the initiations of the former Ao Senden Literature Board now, Ao Riju, with the guardianship of the Ao Senden, for organising different programmes and events to preserve the Ao literature.
JMF for excellence in Ao literature was presented in two category- HSLC & HSSLC students and first position holders in Arangtet (Ao Literature examination). This award was presented to students and scholars from 2020-2023.The Foundation also awarded to the first position holders in the Ao Arangtet Tatidang (Ao Literature examination conducted by the Ao Senden Literature Board constituted by the Ao Senden) namely Kajenmenla Jamir, Arangtet Diploma Tenren (ADT-2021); Putusen, Arangtet Certificate Tenren (ACT-2021); Rongsenlemla Pongen, Arangtet Diploma Tenren (ADT-2022); Alisenla, Arangtet Diploma Tenren (ADT-2023); Tzuwazenla Jmr, Post Graduate Diploma Tenren (PGDT-2022) and Akumyanger, Post Graduate Diploma Tenren (PGDT-2023) during the programme. The JMF awarded cash prizes and certificates for excelling in the exams.
