
KOHIMA, SEPTEMBER 21 (MExN): The Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) Kohima held a joint meeting of its Vidyalaya Management Committee (VMC) and Vidyalaya Advisory Committee (VAC) on September 18 at the school premises, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Kohima and VMC & VAC Chairman, B. Henok Buchem.
The meeting began with a Vidyalaya Report presented by Principal Mahesh Prasad Shivhare. Issues discussed included diversion of a village road passing through the campus, increasing the height of the boundary wall, and student safety concerns due to the absence of security guards. Preparations for JNVST-2026 and LEST-2026, budget and fund utilisation, and continuation of the Vidyalaya Visiting Doctor facility were also reviewed.
A cultural programme followed the meeting, showcasing musical and dance performances by students, including a welcome song by Class XII Humanities, folk dances, and group songs. A prize distribution ceremony was held to felicitate achievers of PWT-II and UT-II examinations. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by PGT (History) Kiran Lalboi.
