Kiphire, November 1 (MExN): A joint coordination meeting was held with various NGOs leaders for the bye-election to the 60 Pungro Kiphire A/C at DC Conference hall, Kiphire on October 31.
According to a DIPR report, ADC Kiphire Nyempo Wallim who is also the Returning Officer for the bye-election to the 60 Pungro Kiphire chaired the meeting. She urged all the leaders to choose the right candidate who can bring changes and development for the District. She stated that Kiphire was declared as 'Aspirational' District but till today no development works are being done so she appealed all the leaders that it is their responsibility to choose the right person if they really want to develop the District.
There are 77 polling stations within the 60 Pungro Kiphire A/C and she stated that everyone should be allowed to exercise their vote to maintain democratic means and practices. She also stated that voters/ electors who are not able to produce the EPIC shall produce one of the following alternative photo identity documents: Aadhaar card, MNREGA job card, passbooks with photograph, health insurance smart card, driving licence, pan card, smart card, Indian passport, pension document with photograph, service identity card with photograph, official identity cards.
At last she assured that the bye-election to 60 Pungro Kiphire will be an example even to other districts by practicing free and fair election in every polling stations.
200 plus requisitioned vehicles
More than 200 requisitioned vehicles have reported to the public ground Kiphire till October 31, as part of the forthcoming bye-election to the 60 Pungro Kiphire AC. ADC Japhet Woch, who is in charge of vehicle requisition for polls informed that more vehicles are likely to report by November 1.
