Joint Statehood Day celebrated at Tamil Nadu

DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 2 (MExN): Raj Bhavan, Tamil Nadu organized a joint programme to celebrate the Nagaland Statehood Day which falls on December 1 and the eve of Assam Statehood Day. 

Governor of Tamil Nadu, RN Ravi, while speaking at the celebration at Raj Bhavan, said, "People in Chennai are more hospitable and the city is safe for women. Even parents in the North-East are relieved about their girl children studying in Chennai.”

On the occasion, NCF Pastor Wapangtoshi, who is also the president of North East India Welfare Association Chennai and Member, Tamil Nadu State Level Inter State Migrant Workers (ISM) Advisory Committee was felicitated by the Governor for his service to the society over one decade in Tamilnadu. 

The programme was attended by over two hundred residents of Chennai from Nagaland and Assam along with other eminent people from different walks of life.
