Imphal | December 11

The proposed visit of BJP national president JP Nadda to Manipur has been postponed. It is not certain now when the BJP chief will visit the state.

The BJP president was earlier expected to arrive in Imphal on December 13 on his two-day visit to the state as a part of his 120-day tour across the country. This is the second time his proposed visit to the state was postponed. Earlier, he had a plan to visit the state on December 1-2. It was later cancelled.

Nadda began his 120-day nationwide tour on November 4 by visiting Uttarakhand where he held more than a dozen meetings during his four-day camping in the state besides participating in various booth and "mandal" level programmes of the party.

Regarding his visit in the state, the ruling BJP had even reserved a room at a hotel in Imphal for his stay. The state unit of the party had even prepared identity cards for the reporters who will be attending a press briefing programme during his camping in the state.

A highly reliable source in the state BJP said that his visit is uncertain now. The state unit of the party expected rescheduling his visit in the state by the first week of January 2021.
