JSUN cautions against encroachment of govt land

Jalukie, February 10 (MExN): In a step to tackle the “issues of alleged encroachment,” the Jalukie Students’ Union Nagaland (JSUN) has instructed “the respective departments and stakeholder concerned to remain vigilant and checked regularly for any such activities.”

JSUN on Wednesday reported “it has been found that there is a rampant encroachment of government land in various Governmental offices and establishment under Jalukie Sub-division.”

The Union through its resolution adopted at its executive meeting on January 25, 2021 issued the instructed with the caution that “any negligence or connivance on the part of the Government officials will not be tolerated.”

JSUN, President, Agumbe Nring and General Secretary, Indeu Heikha in their press release stated that any individuals or group found encroaching, assimilation of a portion of land into private holding by means of illicit fencing, and illegally constructing structures within the demarcated boundary of the ‘donated’ government land will be doing so at their own risk. “The JSUN will initiate appropriate action and will be dealt sternly against the responsible,” it warned.

Meanwhile, the JSUN also asked the “innocent right thinking citizens” to forbear from such activities and to refrain from buying of plot permit issued by some unscrupulous and corrupted officials and encroachers, instead to maintain and safeguard the government land as these are for the development and welfare of the public.
