JYO releases booklet on COVID-19 awareness in Ao language

Dimapur, August 10 (MExN): In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, followed by outburst of factual as well as fake news circulating in various media platforms regarding the pandemic, the Japukong Youth Organization (JYO) undertook a public awareness campaign. 

With the objective to educate the masses especially under its jurisdiction, the JYO took the initiative to publish an Ao vernacular booklet on the current pandemic. 

The booklets, in collaboration and consultation with relevant experts, will be distributed to all the village councils and churches, informed a press release issued by JYO. 

The JYO also procured thermal scanners. The thermal scanners, along with gloves will be distributed to 19 village councils in Japukong range and the booklets, in collaboration and consultation with relevant experts will be distributed to all the village councils and churches.   A short dedication service, before the materials were dispatched, was conducted at the residence of JYO advisor, Er J Lanu Longchar on August 9 in the presence of advisors and office bearers. Rev N Imly Jamir, Associate Pastor, DABA conducted the service while Limayanger Imchen, President, JYO, thanked all the well wishers for their financial, material and expert assistance in their endeavour.
