Dimapur, September 29 (MExN): The Sand Mahaldar Welfare Society, Karbi Anglong informed that as per the norms of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, sand haulage should not exceed 10 cubic metres per truck. While informing this in a press release, the union added that transporters should also possess valid ‘O’ Form without which the transporters would be liable for legal action. It further said that the rate of sand has been fixed at the old rate of Rs 32 per cubic feet and that the rate will continue to be in effect till further modification. It however did not specify type of sand.
