KOHIMA, JULY 26 (MExN): A Book on ‘Children, Adolescents and Digital Media-Rethinking Parents’ Role’ was released on July 24 at the Kohima Ao Baptist Church, in the presence of Pastors and Deacon Board members.
Conceptualized by the Christian Education Ministry of Kohima Ao Baptist Arogo (KABA), the book is authored by Limabenla Jamir, an acclaimed North East India International Model United Nations (NEIMUN) educational foundation leader.
A press release informed that the book contains a study on why digital media can be risky and how it “physically and emotionally affects children of all ages.” The book is designed for the new generation and concerned parents and teachers for a basic understanding of Digital Media, how to deal with the challenges and make technology a safe, fun and enriching experience.
“Written in a language that’s easy for everyone to understand, the book is an outcome of a social survey conducted by the Christian Education Ministry of KABA, upon the findings through a questionnaire response of over a thousand children that would help the parents deal with digital issues,” the release added.
The book is written in both Ao language and in English for the convenience of all sections of readers. According to the Associate Pastor, Christian Education Ministry, KABA, Alice Walling, the Church will hold a seminar for parents and distribute the books for free to members of KABA.
