
DIMAPUR, MAY 18 (MExN): Nagaland Home Minister G. Kaito Aye has “vehemently denounced” the murder of three persons from a Naga family on the night of May 16 at Boro-Lengri near Dimapur. The three –Rhonsuo Odyuo, his wife Alice and her sister Shanchobeni Patton were killed with daos (machetes) inside their house. “No motive can warrant such a shameful and inhuman deed which has no place in a civilized society and deserves the strongest condemnation from all sensible citizens,” stated the Home Minister today in a press release. G. Kaito has urged the Assam government to give their best efforts to trace out those responsible and bring them to justice at the earliest. Additionally, he has assured that the Dimapur District Administration and Police will “give our best effort assisting our counterpart (Assam) to trace the culprits for deliverance of early justice.” Nagaland’s Home Minister has conveyed his condolence to the family and relatives with prayers that “the Almighty grant strength to you all to overcome the pain and anguish at the hour of sorrow.”
