KBC Jubilee Trophy 2022: Christ King Church wins inaugural match

Christ King Church today registered win in the inaugural match of the Jubilee Trophy 2022 of Koinonia Baptist Church (KBC) in commemoration of the silver jubilee of KBC under the theme “Press towards the goal.”

Christ King Church overpowered Tuophema BC 8-0 in the inaugural match played at Meriema Ground this afternoon.
Interesting, 62 years Dierhevituo Benedict netted the last eight goal for Christ King Church.

With this, Christ King Church now face CRC Viswema in the second round on October 27.

27 teams from 26 churches have been registered for this tournament, which will continue till November 5 in two locations- Meriema Ground and Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.

Medoneiu Usou, executive secretary Pesocha Baptist Church Council graced the inaugural function as the Trophy Guest.

Speaking on the occasion, Usou appreciated the good turnout of the teams from various churches and challenged them to demonstrate their best skills to the delight of the spectators.

Delivering keynote address, Rev. Zotuo Kiewhuo, founder pastor, KBC said “In Christ, we are one” and stressed on the need to strengthen the feeling of oneness in the society.

He informed that the main silver jubilee celebration of KBC will take place from December 16 to 18 at NBCC Convention Centre, Kohima.

Organizing committee convenor Neizokhotuo Belho informed that exciting prizes and trophy has set aside for this two week long tournament.

He looks forward to a meaningful tournament together.

Earlier, act of blessings was pronounced by Neibalie Kiewhuo, pastor KBC. Keneinguzo Usou presented a special number while organizing committee member Khriezovolie Suopkhrie administered oath to the participating teams.

The inaugural function was compered by Kikruneinuo Liezietsu and Seyievilie  Sopfiinuo.

Mentionably, this Open Football Tournament is exclusively organized for Men’s fellowship/men’s department of churches (inter-denomination).
