Kohima, February 3 (MExN): Kohima District Cricket Association (KDCA) veterans and former cricketers of organized a friendly exhibition match at High School Ground, Kohima on February 2.
A press release from KDCA President Atha Angami stated that the match of 25 overs each was led by Atha C Angami (President, KDCA) and Lorhü Sani (V President, KDCA).
“The purpose of the gathering is promotion of health and co-ordination of the former cricketers and to encourage and uplift the upcoming young cricketers to take up the game in Kohima in particular and Nagaland in general,” the release said.
During the gathering, it was also collective decided to select block representatives in co-ordination with a Working Convenor/President in precedence to forming a proper structural set-up of the "Kohima District Veterans Cricket Club".+
