Kohima, February 19 (MExN): The Kohima District Football Association (KDFA) has conducted an induction programme for the vacant post(s) of the KDFA Team 2025-29 on February 18 at 2K Hotel, Kohima.
In view of the existing vacancies within the KDFA Team (2025–29), the Association inducted the following members whose experience and expertise are expected to strengthen the functioning of KDFA and contribute to the growth of football in the district: Kevilebei Zashümo – Technical Director; Dzieseneituo Belho – Director of Referees; Kevineinuo Tsochü – Women Coordinator; Pezavituo George Vizo – Executive Member; Zakielatuo Seletsu – Executive Member; Vizovor Liezietsu – Executive Member (President, FLCoKD); and Ketholetuo Khezhie – Executive Member (President, KDFRB).
The proposed meeting with the registered players of KDFA, earlier scheduled following the first meeting held on February 1, 2026, has been postponed to February 28 at 1500 hrs at the Hotel 2K, Kohima.
The Association informed that the 1st Kohima District Football Championship 2026 is tentatively planned for August 2026.
KDFA also resolved to organise a coaching camp during the summer school break, followed by a grassroots tournament for the U-10 and U-13 categories as part of its developmental initiatives.
KDFA reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening football at all levels in the district and called upon stakeholders to extend their continued support.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by KDFA President M Mathew Yhome, while Khriengulie Rio invoked God’s blessings.
