Kohima, March 14 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Shanavas C has directed all owners to keep their construction sites covered/barricaded/screened with Green Shade Net/Tarpaulin/CGI sheet till the completion of the construction work.
As per the State DIPR, in an order issued in the interest of public safety, the DC Kohima observed that number of construction materials are left exposed in the open, posing hazard to passersby.
Debris/dust/smoke/noise from construction sites have created undesirable levels of noise and air pollution and the exposed construction sites are degrading the aesthetics of the city making it unwelcoming, unappealing, and unhygienic, the DC added.
Accordingly, the DC issued the direction.
