Winners of the senior wrestling event with officials on Wednesday evening at Kikruphema ground, Peducha.
KOHIMA, JANUARY 13 (MExN): Kekhriezo Nagi beat Seketukho Nipu in the senior Naga style wrestling final to retain the championship for the third time on Wednesday evening at the ongoing Western Angami ‘D’ Sports Association (WADSA) golden jubilee at Kikruphema ground, Peducha.
Winning the match, he received Rs 30,000 while Nipu received Rs 20,000 as the runner-up. Kevisezo Nipu and Kevinguzo Nagi received Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 as the third and fourth place winners respectively.
In the junior category, Neikerhezo Zhünyü emerged champion after defeating Kevizetuo Kuotsu in the final. Zhünyü received Rs 5,000 as the winner while Kuotsu received Rs 3,000 as the runner-up.
Third placed Mhasilhoutuo Teiu and fourth placed Kobu Zhünyü pocketed Rs 2000 and Rs 1000 respectively.
