Vuto Hyundai presents NagaWrestleMania-9 culminates

Kezhaseluo-o Pienyii today emerged the coveted champion title of “King Of The Ring Championship” on the last day of the three day long Vuto Hyundai presents NagaWrestleMania-9 (King Of The Ring Series 2022) organized by 3E Nagaland under the aegis of Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) at Hockey Ground, Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.
Winning the coveted champion title, Pienyii, who was also heavyweight champion, pocketed cash prize of Rs. 1,20,000.
Second place winner Kezhavizo Thevo received Rs. 60,000.
Atuo Tevo and Kevizhakho Suokhrie awarded with Rs. 30, 000 and Rs.15,000 for securing third and fourth position respectively.
Mentionably, Chin wrestler Uk Lian Thang from USA was lost to Kezhaseluo-o Pienyii in the quarter final.
Dzieselatuo Keretsii was lost to lightweight champion Kevizhakho Suokhrie in the quarter finals while Kezhavizo Thevo defeated Medosatuo Paiinuo in the quarter finals. Megovizo Visienyii was lost to Atuo Tevo in the quarter finals.
Atuo Tevo was lost to Kezhavizo Thevo in the first semi finals while Kezhaseluo-o Pienyii found final berth after defeating Kevizhakho Suokhrie in the second semi finals.
NagaWrestleMania (King Of The Ring Series) was conceptualized by 3E Nagaland in 2012 with a view to give equal opportunities to wrestlers of different sizes and at the same time, retain the traditional system of open weight competition under the same platform.
