KFL: New Market, Power Comm held

    Our Correspondent Kohima | August 17   The ongoing Kohima Football League 2017 on Thursday saw two red cards in the two matches played here at Kohima Local Ground.   10-men Power Comm FC held on to a 1-1 draw against United 16 FC as both teams took away a point each.   Power Comm FC took the lead through Senenlo Kath in the 39th minute with the equalizer for United 16 FC coming through Longkhoi in the 70th minute. Senenlo was later ejected after receiving a second yellow card.   Yellow cards were also shown to T. Jamir of United 16 FC and Yhunshalo Kemp of Power Comm FC.   The other match between New Market and Khriekesa FC ended in much the same way with a red card and a 1-1 draw.   Chisie Nyusou opened the scoring for New Market FC in 30th minute but despite having their goalkeeper sent off in the 80th minute, Khriekesa FC managed to equalize late in the match.   Goalkeeper Medophrezo Kezieo of Khriekesa FC was shown the red card after handling the ball outside D-Box but Neilabeituo Shiiya scored four minutes from time to help the team claim a crucial one point.   Yellow Cards was shown to Keneingutuo Yaotsu of Khriekesa FC and Gideon Leo of New Market FC.   August 18 matches Nagabazar FC Vs New Market FC @ 1:00 pm Addax FC Vs Power Comm FC @ 3:00 pm
