Khatkhati, Assam
An adult elephant stopped traffic on national highway for a couple of hours at Khatkhati, Assam, Monday afternoon. Onlookers said the elephant, probably a wild one, looked famished and came out to forage for food. Seen in the photo the elephant putting its trunk inside a Dimapur- bound Nagaland State Transport bus searching for food. Onlookers said the elephant found rice and lemon fruits inside the bus.
