DIMAPUR, JANUARY 13 (MExN): Gen. (Retd.) Khole Konyak, the Chairman of the GPRN/NSCN has called for retrospection with regard to the past mistakes committed by the Nagas and to “look at all the loopholes, our weaknesses and our strength and try to stress on the positive aspects of our common goal”. Stating this in an address to the Naga people, Khole questioned as to whether killings among Nagas had achieved anything. Rather he stated that fratricidal killings were a “great blunder that no price could repay for”.
Khole has also stated that “we need time and space to build the house of Nagas” and pointing out that “Nagas are scattered and fragmented into different geographical regions with the demarcation of land yet in spirit and mind we are all Nagas”. Khole was also of the opinion that “we need to build the house for Nagas of Nagaland as a first step to reach our destiny, then think about stepping out and start uniting our brethrens scattered around different states and country, and strive for our goals”.
