A total of 241 players went unsold in the IPL 2021 auction on February 18, which included Naga teenage sensation Khrievitso Kense.

With the number of slots available, it was obvious that many players going under the hammer would remain unsold. However, it was disheartening for cricket fans in Nagaland and beyond who had pinned high hopes on 16 year old Khrievitso Kense.

Kense had made news after his debut in the Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament held recently this year, and had also caught the attention of big IPL franchises like Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals.

After making it to the list of players in the IPL auction, Kense was listed at a base price of Rs 20 lakh but unfortunately failed to attract bidders.
