KIKÖ, a Multibrand Outlet was officially launched today in Tongdentsuyong ward, Mokokchung. The store aims to provide a fresh and quality shopping experience for the local community, offering trendy and affordable apparel for all age groups.

The proprietor, Ajungla L Imsong, shared the concept and inspiration behind KIKÖ, highlighting its multicultural essence. The name holds deep meanings across cultures, she said, in Japanese, it represents “joyful” or “hopeful child”; in Spanish, it signifies “noble and home ruler” as well as a term of affection. In the Ao dialect, KI (home) and KO (collections) come together to describe “a home full of collections for loved ones.”

Explaining the store’s purpose, Ajungla emphasised how KIKÖ was born from observing the challenges faced by locals, especially those returning home from larger cities, who often find limited shopping options. By addressing the disadvantages of online shopping—issues with size, quality, and delivery—the outlet aims to provide the thrill and assurance of shopping in a physical store, ensuring convenience and satisfaction for customers.

I Zulu Imsong, Village Council Chairman of Chuchuyimpang in his greetings, encouraged the youth of Nagaland to embrace self-reliance, acknowledging the efforts of parents in providing quality education. He congratulated Ajungla on her entrepreneurial spirit and expressed hope that KIKÖ would inspire others to pursue their dreams and ventures.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony and dedication of the store were officiated by Rev I Wati Imsong, Pastor of Chuchuyimpang Baptist Church.
