Nechoyo Vero today emerged as champion of the senior category in the Kikruma Wrestling Championship 2025, held at Kikruma village in Phek district. He pocketed a cash prize of Rs. 20,000 along with citation.
Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) president, Vivolie Kezo graced the event as the special guest. He emphasised the growing prospects of Naga wrestling which is now gaining global attention.
Officials from NWA, Chakhesang Wrestling Association (CWA), Chokri Area Wrestling Association (CAWA) including Chakhesang Hoho, Kohima president Dozhohu Tunyi, Chakhesang Mother’s Association (CMA) president Zhonelu Tunyi present at the event.
