Naga musician and entrepreneur, Kilang Zulu is back in the music scene with the release of his latest music video titled ‘Tu’ a Hindi pop song.
The inspiration behind the song, according to Kilang is love, “a kind of love that is unconditional and giving.”
Talking about his latest release, the singer and songwriter shares with The Morung Express, “We need to appreciate and celebrate love in our lives. Love in any form or capacity should be appreciated. And let us not just be receivers of love but also givers of love.”
He shares that the song starts with “every morning you are infront of me, every moment you are close to me” and it ends with “until my last breath, you will remain my joy.” So the main message is “you are my beginning and my end,” he adds.
In his musical career, ‘Tu’ is the first song Kilang has sung in Hindi. “This is my first ever Hindi song, and it has taken me a year to come to a place of being ready to release it. There were lot of uncertainty and the fear of being vulnerable,” he says.
Sharing more about the choice of a new language, Kilang adds, “But as an artist I wanted to push myself in every way possible, so that I can reach my full potential and grow. Growing up I was never interested to learn Hindi but there was always this love for Hindi music. And especially after over 10 years of living outside my country, I have started missing it. So I think all these things stirred the project.”
Kilang, who is also actively working among the ‘at risk children’ with HelpLive International (helplive.org) in Thailand informs that the whole crew of ‘Tu’ is from Bangkok, Thailand.
“I have been very blessed to have the opportunity to work with so many talented Thais here. Though it was a foreign language, they really enjoyed being a part of the whole project. Infact some of them seem to be more excited than me. The audience will also get to see some very popular locations here in Bangkok. So, it’s the complete package,” he shares in hope and excitement.
‘Tu’ is available on YouTube Channel ‘24nineteen.’
